ALL members are invited to find out more about teaching Chinese ...

Free Chinese Workshop , Monday 31st October 2005, 10.15am - 4.00pm

The Ashcombe School, Dorking, Surrey has been offering free workshops on the use of ICT in the teaching of MFL each half term for the past five years. The first Chinese workshop which took place last term went really well ... we had very positive evaluations ... people seemed to really welcome the opportunity to share ideas and get to know others in similar positions.

We now invite you to our second Chinese workshop which will have the same content as the first one.

If you teach in a school that offers or is thinking about offering Mandarin Chinese at any level, this workshop will enable you to consider teaching strategies and curriculum planning, how to create and sustain international links, ways of promoting Mandarin Chinese across the whole school and sharing ideas with other colleagues.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

If you would like to attend, please email Alison Owen on langcoll@ashcombe.surrey.sch.uk

More information at www.ashcombe.surrey.sch.uk , specifically: http://www.ashcombe.surrey.sch.uk/LangColl/chinese_ws.htm which has the following infromation in a tidy table format! (NB I haven't changed the date yet as I write this, but it will be changed to Monday 31st Ocotober).
