Bio:

Lissa Cook is a BBC trained Radio 4 News producer and documentary maker. She did her teacher training last year with the NML SCITT at Hope Valley College in Derbyshire and is currently completing her NQT year teaching French and Spanish at Tytherington School in Macclesfield (except that now she’s doing it from her front room!)

Session description:

After hearing a talk by Joe Dale on ‘Quick Wins With Technology in the Languages Classroom’ in Sheffield in November 2018 Lissa had a lightbulb moment and realised she could combine her media and teaching skills. In this talk, she will describe how she’s used Mac Screen Record, Screencast-O-Matic and Loom to screencast Powerpoints and handouts and even sing to her students. Joe and Lissa will also do a brief demo of using Flipgrid to encourage student voice and speaking in the MFL classroom.
